The material
Printed vinyl, stuck by its face to the glass.
Red vinyl printed with its own code, with a clear adhesive on its printed face. It goes on the inside of the windscreen or the rear glass, face to the glass, and whoever is outside scans it through the glass.

From outside the car, any phone camera reads it through the windscreen or the rear glass.
Rain and car washes
Waterproof, and inside the car: the rain and the car wash stay on the other side of the glass.
